All About Me
I was born and raised in Sussex in the UK. Following an early career as a secretary I retrained and became an adult trainer. Then in 1986 I established HOST Policy Research in which I still retain a key interest as Managing Director. Since 1995 I have also been known through my metaphysical teaching, writing and painting as Shan, Shannath and now ShannathShima, the snow leopard.
I have:
- Studied Reiki under Jennie Austin in Inverness, becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher in 1997. Since 1997 I have had my own Reiki practice, and have students in both the UK and Italy.
- Qualified as a Practitioner and Facilitator/Teacher of the Melchizedek Method of Holographic Healing, studying under Alton Kamadon.
- Qualified as a Practitioner in Reading the Soul’s Contract, studying under Nicolas Guy Ngan.
- Studied Qigong and Tai Chi with Matthew Rochford of Tai Chi Nation/Devon Shool of Tai Chi. In 2010 I qualified as an instructor with Tai Chi Nation and now teach Qi Gong and Tai Chi BCCMA short form.
- Studied and continue to study Dharma as a practising Buddhist.
- Combined my professional research and consultancy skills with personal development techniques to develop a series of courses for ‘alternative’ management training, including time management and life balance classes.
- Developed a reputation for acting as a bridge for people new to spiritual matters, and encouraging their self-development through one-to-one facilitation and courses.
- Trained presenters, facilitators and trainers in training and presentation techniques.
- Taught classes on a variety of metaphysical subjects, both on my own and in conjunction with other practitioners.
My aim is to promote life, work and energy balance and I try to live this in practice in Umbria, Italy, where I live with my partner Graham, our little dog Barnie and a multitude of cats. Up until recently there was also my little dog Holly (the space cadet). Now, Holly is with me in spirit as she passed away on 27 January 2010, beloved of all and sorely missed by me, who has been with her since she was born.
