Il Loto Puro

At my farmhouse in the Trasimeno area of Umbria in Italy I have a large space set aside for group activities, learning and generally having fun. Called ‘Il Loto Puro’ (The Pure Lotus) it includes an area for Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Reiki healing treatments, a meditation room and a large space for learning activities.

It has been designed so that you feel you are part of nature whilst you are working and learning. I offer courses in:

Reiki: Level One, Two and Masters

I have been a Master since 1997. Rather than having set course dates I encourage groups of friends to get together and agree dates when they would like to have the training take place. For Master trainees I prefer to work one-to-one and individual course objectives and training plans are produced based upon the trainee’s existing experience and applicants are encouraged to write to me outlining why they would like to become a Master and their experience to-date before I agree to work with them.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong

I am a qualified instructor with Tai Chi Nation. I am particularly interested in the health benefits of Qi Gong and Tai Chi, as I have learnt to adapt to living with a variety of auto immune diseases and I have seen first hand the benefits of regular practice.I hold regular classes on a Tuesday evening 6-7 (beginners), Saturday morning 10-11 (second year students) and Saturday morning 11.15-12.15 (beginners). One-to-one classes are available on request. I am also available to do the ‘wake up and stretch, breathe deeply and start the day relaxed’ daily sessions for other people holding week-long cookery, painting, ceramics or other courses in the Lago Trasimeno area.

Meditation and relaxation

Talked about so much, particularly in terms of stress reduction, but meditation is such a valuable tool for self-development. Weekly meditation evenings are being planned from 2012, and individual classes can be arranged.

There will also be some courses offered by visiting teachers and the occasional retreat.

A number of visiting therapists will also be supporting our retreats, including those practising Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massage and Natural Face Lift. Graham Irwin, a Reiki Practitioner, joined me in 2011 offering Reiki treatments.
