I write poetry and very occasionally feature it in my blog. This might be a whole poem, extracts or reference to something I have written. I have published a book with my verses illustrated with my art.
Sometimes my poetry reflects a life experience or emotion that I want to express. For example, I wrote poems in anticipation of and after the death of my little dog Holly.
At other times my poetry is written to accompany a piece of art I have created, or a series of images. When these translate into a YouTube video it really feels like I have come a full circle with my work.
I also look back at past poems I have written, particularly as a child.
