Planning for Fall Decor In Your Home

As mid August approaches it is time to think about Fall decor in your home. Here are a few ideas.

Planning for Fall Decor In Your Home

In an earlier blog I wrote about how seasonal art can energize kitchen/dining areas. In that blog I talk about what might work as wall decor for different seasons of the year including Fall/autumn.

I know many people like to decorate their houses for Fall. I wonder how many consider the impact of some carefully placed fine art decor items?

Wall Decor Can Ring The Changes

The careful placement of an image of Fall colour brings that autumnal feel into your home. But it also brings nature into your home, bringing with it that freshness of natural energy. Like this image of an English river bank (click on the image to see the detail).

While a series of small prints in a group can look good on a wall, it is worth investing in one large print to make a statement and have it in pride of place in the room of your choice. But which image to pick?

If you want something different for your wall, here is a short video showing a selection of my Fall colour images from Central Italy. The fall colours are subtle but beautiful with the Italian landscape. All of these images are available from my online gallery.

Prints Are Not Just For the Wall

While a print on the wall looks stunning, there are a number products available now that mean you can capture that Fall feeling with the careful use of a range of home decor products.

Shower Curtains And Bathroom Towels

Have you thought about giving your bathroom a freshen up? With the advances in print technology these days it is possible to buy some stunning home decor products for your bath or shower room.

For example, a shower curtain takes up a lot of space and spends a lot of time on show – it makes sense to buy one that is not only good quality but pleasant to look at, both from within and outside the shower!

There are all sorts of interesting designs featuring Fall images available including these funky chestnuts of mine! There are matching towels available too.

Fleece Blankets and Throw Pillows

Or maybe a fleece blanket with autumn color might be something to brighten up your room? Like this one showing glorious Fall colors?

This has matching throw pillows too so you can co-ordinate the Fall decor in your home. It is also available on other items like shower curtains, duvet covers and more.

And the great thing about these items is that when Fall is over and you want to move on to Christmas decoration, you can wrap these decor items up, put them away and bring them out again next year.

Don’t Forget The Small Touches

For those who don’t have wall space or scope to add some of the larger home decor items, don’t feel left out. You can buy small art boards or acrylic blocks of prints to sit on shelving and some images are also available on items such as kitchen clocks. Take a look at a few of my images where those products are available.

There are many small touches you can add to bring Fall decor to your home. From door wreathes to foraging for colorful leaves and ornate branches and presenting them in a pretty vase to having a bowl displaying autumn produce. There are some great ideas in this article.
