This document sets out information about the personal information specifically collected by my blog, Dorothy Berry-Lound Art Blog (https://shannathshima.me.uk/artblog/) and which is used by me.
Collection and Storage of Personal Data
Collection and storage of personal data takes place in the following ways:
- Google Analytics – I use Google Analytics to gather data about users on my sites. The IP address is collected by Google but not shown to me. What I see is time spent on the site, pages visited, demographics and market analysis but nothing that could identify the user.
- Log Files On The Server – these are there are there for usage data (analyzing trends, administering the site). The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any identifiable personal information.
- Cookies – as is usual practice with websites, I use cookies to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize your experience of my blog. You can disable cookies through your own browser options.
- Blog Comments – A name, email address and website is required in order to comment on my blog. These are collected by a secure WordPress Plug-In. Only the name of the person commenting is shown on the blog site.
How Your Personal Data Is Used
- For analysing site usage (as outlined above). This allows me to tailor the blog to meet the needs of users.
- To respond to blog comments.
Your personal information is not shared with a third party nor used for any purpose other than that to which you have agreed. The only exception is what may be required by law in connection with any legal proceedings.
